With a renounced and deflationary tax token it would not be possible to create the types of NFTFI incentive mechanisms that we want to introduce to boost the marketplaces. For rewards to make sense long term we need an inflationary token where the supply increases as users are rewarded. At the current NFTART emission amount the deployer account would at some point run out of funds.
A dual token protocol that combines the best of a inflationary token with the best of a deflationary token in the same system really makes a lot of sense and it will enable interesting flywheel effects and dynamics that would have otherwise not been possible.

We have been researching the best approach to governance and rewards for a long time. We are not reinventing governance or rewards here, there are other projects that have been using similar but different ve and dual token systems for a while and it has worked well for their projects.
